SWL First Volunteers of the year start with a win

Several of our members showed up bright and early to volunteer at the 2026 Felicia Smith Jigsaw Puzzle Competition. This is the fourth year in a row we have helped out Hope for Three with their big fundraising event. This was the first year it was held at the Rosenberg VFW and was packed with puzzle doers.

SWL registered a team of four in the 300 piece category. Members Melissa Sprafka, Judy Barr, Margaret Blanchard, and Jen Barr came in first place for the category, finishing their puzzle in just 45 minutes.

Hope for Three started having the same event in the summer of 2025. We look forward to participating again in July to support this amazing partner of ours.

SWL Be the Good: Bid to Give Charity Auction a Huge Success!

Sienna Women’s League’s recent annual charity auction generated revenues exceeding $11,000.  We are thankful for the community’s support - especially for the generosity of Perry Homes in providing use of their beautiful model home and dinner for our guests.  Live vocals by Houston based artist, Ki'ora Michelle were enjoyed by over fifty people who attended the event.

And we are also incredibly grateful for the superb leadership of our auction co-chairs, Shirley Babineaux and Mary Thibodeaux.  And kudos to the many League members who volunteered, solicited auction items and contributed packages themselves.  Teamwork made the dream work!

These charitable funds that were raised, allow SWL to support Fort Bend County organizations that provide critical services to people in need.  The funds will be allocated out to the community early in 2026. Here’s to another great year of service in the year ahead!
